Binzel-Type MIG Gas Nozzles: MB 15, 25, 36, and 501

MB 15 Gas Nozzle
The MB 15 is a compact, press-fit nozzle designed for light-duty MIG torches. Its slim profile is perfect for automotive bodywork and intricate repairs where maneuverability and access to tight corners are essential.

MB 25 Gas Nozzle
The MB 25 is the versatile “middleweight” choice for general fabrication. Offering a balance of durability and size, it provides excellent gas coverage for medium-amperage welding on mild steel and stainless steel.

MB 36 Gas Nozzle
The MB 36 is a heavy-duty, high-capacity nozzle built for industrial-scale fabrication. With a larger internal volume, it handles higher heat loads and provides the wide gas shroud necessary for thicker materials and high-amperage spray transfer.

MB 501 Gas Nozzle
The MB 501 is a specialized, threaded nozzle designed for water-cooled torches operating at up to \(500\text{A}\). It is engineered for the most demanding production environments where continuous arc-on time and maximum cooling are required.

Description

Binzel-style gas nozzles are the industry standard for MIG/MAG welding, providing a stable shroud of shielding gas to protect the weld pool from atmospheric contamination. Each series is engineered for specific power levels and torch designs, ranging from light DIY repairs to heavy-duty industrial production. These nozzles are typically available in conical or cylindrical shapes, allowing the welder to prioritize either a focused gas shield and better visibility or maximum gas coverage for high-heat applications.

Key Features across the Range:

  • High-Grade Materials: Manufactured from heavy-duty copper (\(Cu\)) and often finished with a heat-resistant chrome or nickel plating to minimize weld spatter adhesion.
  • Precision Gas Shrouding: Engineered to provide a laminar flow of Argon or \(CO_{2}\) mixtures, which is critical for preventing porosity and ensuring X-ray quality welds.
  • Snap-On & Screw-On Fitment: Designed for fast, tool-free replacement. The MB 15, 25, and 36 series use a robust internal retention spring for a secure press-fit, while the high-power 501 series features a threaded connection for maximum stability.
  • Heat Dissipation: The thick-walled construction acts as a heat sink, protecting the internal contact tip and gas diffuser from radiant heat during long, continuous weld cycles.

The Binzel-Type Series Guide
