Description
The Dromex D59 Eskom Spec Flame Suit is an industrial-grade, two-piece protective garment (jacket and trousers) engineered for high-risk electrical and thermal environments. Specifically designed to meet stringent safety requirements for utility workers and electricians, this suit is treated with both flame-retardant and acid-resistant finishes. Constructed from 100% heavy-duty cotton D59 drill fabric, it ensures that if the garment is exposed to a flash fire or electric arc, the fabric will self-extinguish rather than melt or continue to burn.
Key Features:
- Flame & Acid Retardant: Treated to provide dual protection against thermal hazards and chemical splashes (specifically battery acid and common industrial chemicals).
- Eskom Specification Design: Features high-visibility silver reflective tape on the arms, legs, and chest to ensure the wearer is seen in low-light or emergency conditions.
- Triple-Stitched Durability: All high-stress seams, including the crotch, side seams, and armholes, are triple-stitched with flame-retardant thread for maximum burst resistance.
- Safety Fastenings: Equipped with heavy-duty YKK brass zippers that are concealed by a storm flap to prevent heat transfer or snagging.
- Functional Storage: Includes a breast pocket with a press-stud flap, a dedicated pen pocket, and reinforced side pockets on the trousers.
